Current Projects

CJI has extensive and varied experience with transportation facilities, both internationally and locally, representing owners, contractors and developers on various access, parking, rapid transit, bus and highway projects. These projects have taken place in most Canadian provinces and locations in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Golden Ears Bridge

Golden Ears Bridge, Metro Vancouver, BC
The construction of the Golden Ears Bridge has begun. Collings Johnston is the technical manager for the development, procurement and implementation phases of this $700 million Design-Build-Finance-Operate project. CJI was responsible for coordinating all technical aspects of the project in terms of scope, road and bridge engineering, environmental permitting, property acquisition and proposal evaluation. Coast Meridian Overpass

Coast Meridian Overpass, Coquitlam, BC
Construction of the Coast Meridian Overpass is underway. The Overpass will connect Coast Meridian Road and Lougheed Highway to the north with Kingsway Avenue and Broadway Street to the south, thereby providing an essential connection between north and south Port Coquitlam via a grade separated crossing of the CPR Yard. Collings Johnston Inc is currently acting as Project Director, providing oversight and technical management for the Project. University of Calgary

University of Calgary Parking Management Plan, Calgary, Alberta
Collings Johnston Inc. is currently undertaking a parking management plan for the campus at the University of Calgary. The plan must take the population's expected growth into account while remaining economically and environmentally feasible. Pebble Mine Site

Pebble Mine Project, Alaska
CJI is managing the transportation requirements in SW Alaska for what is planned to be the largest open/cast mine in North America. A detailed assessment of truck and barge transportation has been prepared. A full appraisal was made, involving Alaska Department of Transportation, of access roads through 150 km of mountainous terrain. Additionally, CJI has prepared a road benefit analysis for mine permitting requirements, access to the mine and adjacent communities, quantifying aspects of the local and state economies.
